Today on the Docket, join Bellingham DUI lawyer, Jonathan Rands as he provides his opinion and analysis of the use of dash cameras in law enforcement patrol cars. The recent case of a Seattle man who requested the video tape of his arrest as he believed it exonerated him, but was told it did not exist. After pursuing the issue the defendant learned that it not only existed, but others of his arrest also were in existence and the tapes did exonerate him. In so doing, they once again exposed the ugly side of law enforcement personalities as various negative and derogatory comments by the officers were also recorded.
In the realm of DUI prosecutions and defense, Jonathan Rands believes that no matter what the tapes show, they are beneficial to both parties to a case.
