Vaccines and Washington State Courts


Washington Supreme Court issues COVID-19 vaccination requirement for employees by November 1st; Strongly encourages judicial branch to join mandate.

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, the Washington Courts put out a press release issuing a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for Supreme Court employees (including the offices of the Reporter of Decisions, the Supreme Court Clerk, the Supreme Court Commissioner, and the State Law Library). The mandate requires all employees be fully vaccinated by November 1st to continue their employment and strongly encourages the judicial branch to join the mandate.
The Court also strongly encouraged all courts and offices in the judicial branch to adopt a similar policy, and directed the Administrative Office of the Courts to implement a comparable vaccine mandate.

Skagit County has followed the recommendations of the WA Supreme Court and released their own administrative order regarding COVID-19 vaccines.
